My name is J.D. and I am pursuing my Masters degree in English Literature at the University of Central Missouri. I live in an apartment with my girlfriend, Sam, and combined we have almost 900 DVDs and at least as many books, so books and movies are a huge part of what I do in my free time. When it comes to both forms of media, I am a horror fan through and through. I have always loved horror movies since I was 11 or 12 and continue to. More recently, I have gotten into Stephen King and am trying to make my way through the enormous lexicon of his work. It is a long process but it has been really enjoyable so far. Along with loving movies, I love to talk about them and usually spend hours debating and discussing them with Sam after we see something new, or even something we have seen dozens of times. I hope you will all enjoy becoming a part of that discussion.
If forced to pick a favorite horror movie, I think I would have to say John Carpenter's Halloween. It did so much for the genre and the slasher and Michael is by far my favorite of the slashers.
